Jenny Helin is a research fellow at the Center for Family Enterprise and Ownership at Jönköping International Business School, Sweden. Her research interests lie at the intersection of process philosophyand dialogue, exploring generative meeting practices in organizational contexts. She has a fascination for how process orientations can influence how people make connections and relate to each other in the (organizational) every day. Jenny is particularly interested in family owned businesses which she focused on in her dissertation entitled: ‘Living moments in family meetings: a process perspective in the family business context’.
Being connected to Center for Family Enterprise and Ownership (www.cefeo.se), an internationally renowned interdisciplinary research and learning center focusing on family business and ownership issues, Jenny has extensive experience of working with family firms as an academic and consultant. Her research projects depart from a relational stance where she works collaborative with organizational members. Jenny is also one of the organizers of the standing working group on process philosophy in organization studies at the yearly European Group of Organization Studies (EGOS) conference.
Before turning to academia, Jenny has mainly worked in different entrepreneurial settings. She has had several positions in high-growth young firms, including the start of her own business. Jenny lives on Gotland, a beautiful island east of mainland Sweden.
