Relishing in the polyphonic be-ing of social construction Johann Roux (Ph.D.) is a lecturer, counselor, coach, consultant and managing director of ITD Training, South Africa .

Johann is a Master HR Practitioner registered at the South African Board for Personnel Practice. He developed generative participatory ways of working towards transformation and change. Roux specializes in consulting with and coaching organizational leaders and high performance teams in moving their organizations toward becoming more viable, inclusive, collaborative and strategically focused. Individual coaching and self-development is paramount in his work. The petrochemical giant SASOL and three year in a row award winner – Best Mining Company to work for in South Africa – Kumba Resources, are current clients. He works with ethical dilemmas and the development of a participatory ethical organizational culture and has presented many workshops in this area and consults with organizations both in the local and international markets. Johann is sponsor of Business Performance Initiative USA in South Africa .Roux is a co-author of Ethical Ways of Being (2002). Two universities in North America utilize this book.

Johann was co- founder of the Institute for Therapeutic Development. ITD Therapy, a sister company of ITD Training, functions in partnership with the University of South Africa, Department of Practical Theology since 1996. The institute is responsible for the training of pastoral therapists on masters and doctorate level. One hundred and ten students are currently enrolled from all over the world. Social Construction, participatory and collaborative practices form the point of departure in all the clinical training and research projects.

Johann is also involved in HIV/Aids work and is senior advisory consultant for CareWorks: CareWorks is a Company that provides both HIV/Aids management to Corporate South Africa, and Patient Management on behalf of large medical health organizations.  CareWorks distinguishes itself from its competitors by achieving on average an 85% voluntary testing rate amongst its clients’ staff. WBHO, Murray & Roberts Construction, Power Construction, the Dutch Embassy in South Africa, Resolution Health and Eyethumed are a few of the many distinguished clients serviced by CareWorks.  ITD Training has partnered with CareWorks since 2001 in providing training to the clients of CareWorks.
