His vocational training was influenced by the humanistic psychology perspectives. Carl Rogers gave sense to many of Rogelio´s ideas and thoughts; so, in his first two years as a psychologist, he practiced therapy emphasized at the client; but when he had an approachment with Harlene Anderson´s ideas, his posture and perspective about the world moved to a new place, a place that gives special importance and value to relationships and conversations that generate possibilities.

He has been director of two private universities, professor of four different private universities in Mérida, Yucatán, México; and since eight years ago until now, works as a private therapist with collaborative practices.
