Dr. Liping Yang is a full professor of Psychology at the College of Education Science, Nanjing Normal University, China. She specializes in research on theories, methods and applications of social constructionist psychology. She is a member of editorial board of Psychological Exploration, a leading journal in China. She also serves as an executive member of the Theories and History of Psychology Branch of the Chinese Psychological Society.

Dr. Liping Yang has published more than 40 articles and 3 books on social psychological research, with special emphasis on social constructionist psychology. Her series of studies on social constructionism, for which she has won many awards, have effectively promoted dissemination of the theory in China. Dr. Yang directs the Positive Mental Health Education Project, sponsored by the Chinese National Social Science Fund. Using qualitative methods, Dr. Yang is now leading her academic team to explore various social relationships in the Chinese cultural context, which is expected to produce appropriate solutions for various mental health problems resulting from current reformation of Chinese society.
