Lone Hersted (M.A.) works as a lecturer and Ph.D. fellow at the Department of Learning and Philosophy at Aalborg University (Denmark). Her teaching and research is concerned with leadership, organizational development and learning, coaching, innovative and creative change processes, dialogue training, conflict dissolution and collaborative team development. At Aalborg University, Lone is the responsible coordinator and lecturer of the M.A. program entitled Master in Organizational Coaching and Learning. Lone has also worked as a consultant since 2003 and, in addition to her academic work, contributes to organizational development and learning processes through coaching and workshops.
Originally Lone was educated as an actress at the Nordic Theatre School (1993), and obtained a Masters Degree in Dramaturgy at Aarhus University (DK 2002). She has more than 10 years’ professional work experience in performance theatre production and interactive digital arts. She has also been directing international cultural and theatre projects e.g. in Latin America.
In 2007 she was trained and certified as a systemic coach at Attractor (DK), and in 2010 she obtained a Certificate Degree in Systemic Leadership and Organizational Development at the University of Bedfordshire in collaboration with KCC (GB) and MacMann Berg (DK).
In addition, Lone has worked as a family therapist at the Municipality of Aarhus. Here she worked with traumatized refugee families and their integration into the Danish society.
Spring 2015: Co-author of a book on leadership. Edited by J. Raelin (USA). Working title: Leadership-as-Practice: A New Movement in Leadership. Routledge Business & Management. Written together with K.J. Gergen and others.
January 2015: Co-author of the book Behind the Scenes of Artistic Creativity: Processes of Learning, Creating and Organising written together with T. Chemi and J.B. Jensen. The book is based on qualitative interviews with 22 artists and creative professionals within the fields of literature, theatre, dance, cinema, visual art, digital art, music, architecture and design. It is written in English and will be published by Peter Lang.
2014: Co-author on a book about John Shotters’ philosophy of communication. Working title: Into the new Fluid. Doors into John Shotters Philosophy. The book is written together with J. Shotter (among others).
2014: Co-author of a book on relational leading written together with research colleagues at Aalborg University. Danish title: Relationelle Perspektiver på Ledelse. København: Hans Reitzels Forlag. Edited by M.V. Larsen and J.G. Rasmussen. Published in Danish and will be translated into English during autumn 2014.
2013: Co-author of the book, “Relational Leading – Practices for Dialogically Based Collaboration”. Written together with K. J. Gergen. Published in English at Taos Institute Publications and in Danish at Forlaget Mindspace.
2011: Co-author of the book, “Kreativ Procesledelse – nye veje til bedre praksis” (Title in English: “Creative Process Leading – new ways to better practices”. Published by Dansk Psykologisk Forlag. A book for leaders and consultants who work with collaborative change processes inspired by appreciative enquiry and social constructionist ideas. Based on the experience of the authors working within the field of organizational development.
2009: Co-author of the article: “Ledelsesbaseret coaching”. Written in collaboration with C. Hornstrup. Published by MacMann Berg.
2007: Co-author of Gyldendals Teaterleksikon (the Danish Encyclopaedia of Theatre). Published by Gyldendals Forlag.
2002: Co-author of the anthology, “Teaterlandskaber: Nedslag i Robert Wilsons univers”. Published by Forlaget Drama. About the artistic work of the American stage director and visual artist, Robert Wilson.
2002: Co-writer of the anthology “Come in Go out” about the artistic work of Robert Wilson. Published by Informations Forlag.
1997: Author of the article, “Teater og shamanisme mellem rustne jernkonstruktioner og frodig regnskov”. Published by Aarhus University, Institute for Dramaturgy. About the authors’ work within theatre anthropology together with indigenous people in the Ecuadorian part of the Amazon forest.
