Faculty University Promoters/Supervisors All students and Taos advisors will work in concert with the matriculating University supervisor/promoter. Both the Taos advisor and the University promoter will offer critical and inspirational guidance as a student moves through the Ph.D. process. It must be noted, however, that the University promoter is ultimately responsible for approving a Ph.D. dissertation and presenting it to the doctorate board of the university. The University promoter will inform the student of the standards and expectations for Ph.D. level work at the matriculating university. Taos Faculty Advisors The faculty for this program includes outstanding scholars from universities from the U.S. and around the world. Each student in the program works closely with one of these Taos affiliated scholars. The assigned advisor provides guidance and support from the early stages of planning to the final completion of the dissertation. In some cases, depending on geography and/or special needs, a secondary advisor will be assigned to assist the student.
