Risto Puutio, PhD (Psychology), MSc (Systemic Leadership &
Organization Studies) works as the managing director at the Metanoia
Institute in Finland. The Institute operates specialist training in the
field of organizational consultancy, supervision and leadership. The
Institute also actively arranges seminars and workshops, amongst which
the following main areas stand out: National Conferences for
Organizational dynamics & Consultation practice, Group Relations
Conferences and Social Dreaming seminars.
The name ”Metanoia” is derived from an ancient Greek word meaning the
profound understanding of matters in a new light – a completely new
shift of mind.
Risto is connected to the University of Jyväskylä where he teaches Work
& Organizational Psychology (50 % lectureship). Meanwhile, he
coaches consulting and other organizational professionals. His research
interest deals with organizational concultation and supervision
practices. He publishes in national and international journals and
practice books. His special field for years has been systemic practices
in organizations.
