Don, a participant in Rodney’s doctoral research alleged that he is an eccentric. Although Rodney protested and made the case for mainstreaming him, Don was intractable the matter and Rodney sometimes sighs to know that he remains an eccentric in at least one relational space. One of the exhibits Don presented in support of his case was the curriculum vitae that follow. Rodney admits that some days he agrees with Don’s characterization. On other days, he feels more like a bricoleur always making do on the bricoles available and always on the verge of discovering-constructing a sort of kaleidoscopic consilience.
Rodney holds academic credentials in several fields, including an A.A. in Liberal Arts and Sciences, 1972, B.A. in Sociology, M.P.H. in Health Education, M.A. & Ph.D. in Community Psychology, and a Ph.D. in Applied Social Science.
Rodney holds numerous vocational credentials and certifications, including Certified Life Coach, Sport Psychology Diploma, Certified Sport & Performance Hypnotist, Certified Master Hypnotist, Certified Master NLP Practitioner, Certified Time Line Therapy™ Practitioner, Chikara-Reiki-Do Reiki Master Practitioner, Usui Shiki Kyho Reiki Master Practitioner.
Iowa State University undergraduate creative writing program 18 semester credits, Rodney is currently engaged in professional writing (Elite Word & Image) and, more recently, personal & professional development coaching (Tools for Brilliance). As his coaching practice continues to build, Rodney is looking for faculty positions with online, distance learning, and research degree programs in interdisciplinary studies, social sciences or coaching studies. Also interested in independent or collaborative writing, rewriting and content editing projects.
Over 400 publication credits including corporate feature writing, distance education, biomedical ethics, health and fitness, environmental issues, practical psychology, self-reliance skills, cooking, and creative nonfiction writing; educational media reviews; personal essay, nature essay, and poetry. Have worked with corporate, business, and nonprofit materials including operations manuals, reports, newsletter articles, brochures, and forms. Experienced in copyediting, content editing, proofreading, rewriting, and ghostwriting.
