Rosie has over 25 years of travel consulting experience. In addition to her vast industry connections and expertise, she has an intimate knowledge of Europe, South America and the Caribbean having grown up and lived abroad, in Colombia, Curacao and Germany, before settling in Houston. Flying into Houston or Galveston

Rosie can also help you reserve your flights at great rates. If you reserve a flight on your own, plan to fly into Houston or Galveston airports. Galveston is the Hobby Airport and is more convenient to get to the port to board the ship. Plan to arrive at the port and board the ship between 12 noon and 2 pm on February 5th.  The ship leaves port at 4:00 pm.

Travel to the Port

Ask Rosie about transfers, cabs, shuttles from the airport to the port.

Hotel in Galveston the night before the cruise and the night after the cruise- Tremont Hotel

We have a block of rooms reserved for our group to stay the night before the cruise and the night after the cruise if you need to stay to make flight times. Please make your hotel reservations directly with the hotel.

Group Room Rates
The following rates will be honored for the HOUSTON GALVESTON INSTITUTE’s room block.

All guest room rates are subject to any Hotel service or resort fee and the current tax of 15 percent, plus any additional taxes or fees that may be owed at the time the rooms are occupied.

Hotel will honor  our special Group rate of $109.00 Thursday 2/3/2011-Saturday 2/12/2011.

Cut-Off Date for Reservations
The discounted room block will be held until 1/4/2011. Thereafter, reservations will be taken on a space and rate availability basis.

• Check-in Time is 4:00pm.
• Check-out Time is 12:00 Noon.
• Limited valet parking is available for day use at $7.00 per day. Overnight valet parking is available at $15.00 per day.
• Due to the historic nature of the property, The Tremont House has chosen to become a non-smoking environment.
