xConference Overview

The Taos Institute presents a conference:

Dialogues that Deliver: Generative Practices in Collaboration, Conflict and Community.

Join us as we embark upon a journey to explore the life-giving wonders of dialogic practices that change lives and the world. The conference will be imbued with dialogue that delivers ideas, practices, examples, case studies, creation of new ideas, and much more.  The conference will allow participants to explore the rich repository of resources resulting from social constructionist inquiry and discuss innovations in practice developed by educators, therapists, organizational and community developers, social workers, health care specialists, and others.

The conference will also be a special event honoring the founding of the Taos Institute 15 years ago.

Special Opening Plenary features the Taos Institute Founders: Harlene Anderson, David Cooperrider, Mary Gergen, Ken Gergen, Sheila McNamee, Suresh Srivastva, (not present - Diana Whitney)

Keynote speakers include:

  • Kenneth Gergen
  • John Shotter
  • Seth Kahan

xEach morning will begin with an inspiring speaker followed by a three-hour hands-on workshop.  Participants will chose one workshop each morning. The afternoons will be filled with "conversation" topics to choose from which will feature our Taos Associates who are working with innovative, generative, and exciting dialogic practices. Additionally, opportunities abound for informal gatherings, lunch time topic tables, whole group activities, a sunset cruise, a festive dinner with entertainment and much more.

xWe are all invited to experience the natural wonders and beauty of Sarasota, Florida and the Gulf of Mexico. The Hyatt Regency - Sarasota on its own marina is our conference site. Just a few minutes drive from there are some of the most beautiful beaches in the world, world renowned shopping, art studios, the Ringling Museum and much more.

Limited number of scholarships available.
