Dr. Xueer Zhang is an Associate Professor in the School of Pre-school Education at Jiangsu Second Normal University, focusing on art education. Dr. Zhang received her Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts from Nanjing Normal University, followed by dual Master’s degrees in Fine Arts from Nanjing Normal University and the University of Dundee in the UK, and finally a PhD in the field of art education from Nanjing Normal University. Her expertise is in creative art education research and practice from a relational perspective, including various forms of collaborative drawing games, collaborative craft games, and so on. Dr. Zhang’s academic contributions include the publication of several journal articles, as well as the translation of Social Construction: Entering the Dialogue, by Kenneth J. Gergen & Mary Gergen and Gender and the Social Construction of Illness, by Judith Lorber and Lisa Jean Moore into Chinese, which has contributed to the dissemination of social constructionism in China. Dr. Zhang has used innovative teaching methods to mentor students who have won numerous national art awards, as well as the Jiangsu Provincial Teaching Achievement Award. Dr. Zhang’s achievements are not limited to the academic field, but also include art exhibitions. Her artworks have been exhibited in several national and international venues, and she is also a member of the Young Artists Association of Jiangsu Province.
