Etsuko Nakagami-Yamaguchi is a professor and director of the Department of Quality and Safety Management at Osaka Metropolitan University Hospital. Besides being a general patient safety officer, she is also a physician specializing in pediatric oncology/hematology and a psychologist with a foundation in Group Dynamics. Her research areas include Arts and Health, Patient Safety, Quality Improvement, and Quality Management Systems. She has a particular interest in “Organizational learning and its development”, and is actively exploring effective educational and supportive methods to improve quality and safety in healthcare.
