Dr. Bochner joined the faculty of University of South Florida, Communications Department, in 1984. He served as chair of the department for 8 years while developing the doctoral program. His current projects investigate narratives surrounding aging, especially the aging of family members. He is co-director of the Institute for Interpretive Human Studies, editor of two book series, and serves on the editoral boards of several journals.
