A 6-Week Online/Virtual workshop - Participate from Anywhere in the World

Time: 11:00 AM US Eastern Time
Presenters: Tony Silbert, Mary Vargas

Description:
Many people struggle to engage in meaningful and important conversations with family members and loved ones as they near end of life. In this workshop, we will explore practices and ideas for creating meaningful dialogues and way to enrich relationships.

Frequently family members and caregivers – who want to be supportive – lack the skills to prompt these significant conversations, and miss the opportunity to connect more deeply or provide the support most needed. Healing Conversations provide a framework and tools to strengthen these interactions we all want and need at this special time. The structure of these conversations gives the family member, loved one, and/or caregiver confidence, the questions to support and energize those involved in the conversation, and the resulting stories inspire positive action.

Overall course learning objectives - Participants will learn:

  • To identify why talking about aging and dying is difficult, personally and in general; the importance of being able to have these conversations
  • The essential building blocks and 1, 2, 3’s of Healing Conversations
  • How to apply Healing Conversations (Reframing, Inquiry, Dialogue, Storytelling) in their lives with family members and loved ones
  • Resources and materials available

You will need to have this book for the workshop - Healing Conversations Now

The workshop will consist of weekly readings, learning partner activities, videos, assignments related to the topic of the week, and a weekly live conference call for all workshop participants.
