In this 4½-day program, you willlearn how it has been successfully used for organization culturechange, strategic planning, merger integration, union managementpartnerships and community development. And you will learn how to doit, from start to powerful results. This hands-on workshop is basedupon Diana Whitney and Amanda Trosten-Bloom's best selling book, ThePower of Appreciative Inquiry, a copy of which is included with yourregistration.

Faculty for the workshop will guide you through the foundational steps of “how to do Appreciative Inquiry.” They willprovide an overview of the theory, principles and research related toAI, along with a deep and thorough grounding in its practices. Theywill share examples, and supporting materials, illustrating how the AI4-D Process has been applied to a wide range of issues, situations andorganizations.

You will learn to design and facilitate keysteps in the Appreciative Inquiry process: forming and facilitating acore team, articulating a change agenda, selecting affirmative topics,crafting and conducting appreciative interviews, making meaning ofnarrative data, envisioning and enacting positive futures, draftingprovocative propositions and supporting innovation teams. And you willleave with a focused plan for using AI to create positive change inyour organization or community.
