Rita de Cássia de Souza has a degree in Psychology from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (1997), a Masters in Education from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (2001) and a PhD in Education from the University of São Paulo (2006).
She is currently an Associate Professor at the Federal University of Viçosa, teaching subjects related to Psychology in the Department of Education in the undergraduate and Master's degree programs, where she guides dissertations in the research line "Education, Institutions, Memory and Subjectivity" and participates in the CNPq Research Group "Memory, Institutions and Subjectivity." She is interested in studies in the area of Psychology, with an emphasis on Education, working mainly on the following topics: history of education, new school, school indiscipline, violence, bullying, differentiated methodologies of education, student protagonism, social constructionism, collaborative and dialogic practices, relational education, and relational and dialogical research.
