Social Construction, Relational Theory and Change Practices | June 8-10

Fri, June 8, 20184:00 PM

through Sun, June 10, 2018

Location: Wallingford, Pennsylvania
Dates: June 8 - 10, 2018
Presenters: Ken and Mary Gergen

This workshop provides an opportunity to learn, discuss, and create, with leading figures in social constructionist and relational theory. In the setting of their home, and nestled in the shadows of Swarthmore College, Ken and Mary will first introduce basic ideas in social constructionist thought, followed by critical and creative discussion of both premises and applications. Relational theory is a major offspring of constructionist theory, and will receive similar attention. Discussions will also touch on issues in therapy, healthcare, organizational development, peace building, spirituality, and more.

The workshop style is discussion and activity oriented, with time for walks and talks.

Cost: General rate: $600; Student rate: $450. (After May 1st, add $50)
