After graduating in Political Science he first worked in a Business School (ISTUD, Stresa, Italy) and then in the Human Resources Management Department of La Scala Opera House in Milan. At the same time, he did research, studied and published at the Department of Psychology, University of Turin, where he defended his Ph.D. dissertation in the Psychodynamics of Organizational and Work Processes.

Since 2004, he has been a senior lecturer in Work and Organizational Psychology at the University of Valle d’Aosta. His courses cover Work and Organizational Psychology and Qualitative Research Methods.

He has published articles and monographies on the following topics: organizational empowerment; adult learning and adult education; organizational culture; action research in organizations; emotions and organizational life. He has recently published articles in: Gender, Work and Organizations, Journal of Vocational Behaviors, Sexualities, Qualitative Inquiry and Cultural Studies and Critical Methodoligies. He is currently an Associate Editor of Qualitative Research in Organization and Management.

Presently, his main research interests are: emotions and emotion work; gender and sexual identity in organizations and in the workplace; action research; post-qualitative research methodologies and critical discourse analysis. He studies these topics using the interpretative key of critical and poststructural theories.

He organizes the Special Interest Group (SIG) in Psychology within the International Conference of Qualitative Inquiry.
