Professor of Family Therapy Program at Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México.

Nora has a Bachelor degree in Social Psychology from Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana UAM Master degree en Clinical Psychology from Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México. She is a Family Therapy trained at the Instituto Latinoamericano de Estudios de la Familia.

She is trained in postmodern therapies and collaborative therapy, and collaborative therapy with people with eating disorders at Grupo Campos Eliseos-Houston Galveston Institute, she is certificaded in Collaborative practices by Houston Galveston Institute, el Taos Institute y el Grupo Campos Elíseos in the Education and Leadership Program.

Nora Rentería is a systemic & social constructionist therapist and supervisor. She currently works at Medica Sur Hospital, Mexico City, within the Eating Disorders’s Clinic where she uses a social constructionist perspective in her work with anorexic, bulimic and child obesity dilemmas. She is also teaching Family Therapy within the master’s program at National University of México (UNAM) as well as in various family therapy training institutes. She is member of Grupo Campos Eliseos in Mexico, affiliated to the Houston Galveston Institute, dedicate to training, consultation and supervision. www.grupocamposeliseos.org. She has her private practice in Mexico City, with families, and individuals as well as in prevention of people getting burnout or not managing well their stress, using a collaborative stance and biofeedback. Nora has been involved in group work for long time. Earlier in her career she specialized in Operative groups, In recent years she has developed ways of working with groups based on postmodern ideas and has implemented them in different contexts.

Her current interests and project work concentrate on eating disorders, therapist´s training and supervision and group therapy.
