Jørgen Gulddahl Rasmussen, BA in Business Administration, Master in Organizing, from the Business School in Aarhus, 1973, and PhD in Management, is professor in organization and management at the Department of Business and Management, Aalborg University, Denmark.

He has done research within a number of strategic, managerial and organizational fields: organizing business, development networks, school and Higher Education management, strategizing in firms and institutions, and qualitative research methods. He has also during more than three decades held several managerial posts within Higher Education, including terms as Dean for the Social Science Faculty at Aalborg University.

He has during his career as researcher published a number of books and chapters in books within his different fields of research: organizing, networks, relationships, management, and strategy, written in Danish. And articles in journals, for example: Qualitative Studies, Science and Public Policy, Tertiary Education and Management, European Journal of Education.

His present research interests are to develop methods to study daily managerial and relational processes within firms, and to do case studies of the practices of interaction between strategy, development and management in organizations. These areas are covered through interpretative case studied characterized by involving actors within these fields actively in the research processes.

He is teaching within his research fields at master and part-time master education (MBA) and has supported leadership training both inside and outside HE. He is teaching within a Problem Based Learning concept and has participated in the continuous development of this. He is also an energetic biker and is interested in social, political and cultural development locally and in the World as such.
