Professor of Organization Studies at Warwick Business School, University of Warwick, UK
Professor Tsoukas teaches courses in the areas of Organizational Behavior and The Management of Change. He has taught at Manchester Business School (1988-1990), Warwick Business School (1990-1995), the University of Cyprus (1995-1998), University of Essex (1998-2000) and University of Strathclyde (2000-2003).

His research focuses on: the management of organizational change and the management of social reforms; organizational learning, interpretation, and knowledge management; social systems design, especially from a post-rationalist perspective; a critical appreciation of the social changes associated with the information society; and the relation between thinking and acting in organized contexts, approached from a hermeneutical and post-analytical philosophical perspective.

Professor Tsoukas’ research has been published in several leading academic journals such as Academy of Management Review, Strategic Management Journal, Interfaces, Organization Studies, Journal of Management Studies, Organization, Journal of the Operation Research Society, Human Relations, etc. His paper (with Professor D.B. Papoulias), Understanding Social Reforms: A Conceptual Analysis, has been awarded the President’s Medal for 1996 by the Operational Research Society (UK). He is the author of Complex Knowledge, Studies in Organizational Epistemology, Oxford University Press, 2004; and of If Aristotle was a CEO, Kastaniotis (in Greek) . He is the co-editor in the following books: Organizations as Knowledge Systems: Knowledge, Learning and Dynamic Capabilities, Managing the Future, The Oxford Handook of Organization Theory, The Oxford Handbook of Organization Theory: Metatheoretical Perspectives, Guidelines for Reforming Government, New Thinking in Organisational Behaviour: From Social Engineering to Reflective Action, and The Organisation of the Modern Enterprise: Issues in Organisation Design (in Greek).
Professor Tsoukas is editor of the Management book series published by Kastaniotis, Athens. He is a member of the American Academy of Management and the European Group of Organization Studies.

Professor Tsoukas has been actively involved in executive education. He has coordinated and/or taught executive education courses for British Steel, Nestle, Reed-Elsevier, NHS, Macedonia Thrace Bank, AB Vassilopoulos, Kraft- Jacobs Hellas etc.
