Po-Hsin Tsai is an attending psychiatrist at Chang Gung Memorial Hospital in Keelung, Taiwan. He specializes in child and adolescent psychiatry and works with children and their families primarily in outpatient settings. He is also a teaching facilitator of International Certificate Program in Collaborative Practices (ICCP), which is run by Center for Creative Dialogue in Taiwan.

He had psychiatry residency training at National Taiwan University Hospital, including psychopathology, psychopharmacology and dynamic psychotherapy etc. At the same time, he started to practice postmodern ideas in clinical work such as solution-focused brief therapy (SFBT) and narrative psychotherapy. He later finished the first term of two-year ICCP in Taiwan in 2015, to become the first psychiatrist in Taiwan who obtained the certificate.

He is dedicated to apply dialogical practices to mental illness treatment and to promote reflective and creative attitude toward psychiatric issues.

In addition, he is currently writing a book “The Skybridge (空橋上的少年)”, which will be published in Chinese in late 2018. It is a novel based on true stories, consisting of two parallel journeys, one in Ladakh, India and another in an adolescent psychiatry day hospital in Taipei, Taiwan. He introduces the concept of “relational self” in this book to respond to the ultimate question: how to go on.
