Hao-Min currently works as an associate professor in the Marriage and Family Therapy program, Texas A& M University- Central Texas. She is a licensed MFT and an AAMFT approved supervisor in U.S, a licensed counseling psychologist in Taiwan, and has practiced in the field for over twelve years. Hao-Min’s research and clinical interests include diversity and family therapy; families from diverse backgrounds; the influence of contexts on the well-being of Asian/Asian American families and older populations; culturally sensitive interventions; CFT education and training; and qualitative methods. She has published several articles and presented at national and international conferences regarding these issues as well.

Through the diverse training and serving experiences Hao-Min has had in the past years, she has acquired skills to deal with differences, has learned to value cross-cultural knowledge, and understand the importance of humility. Moreover, these experiences have instilled in her a greater appreciation for the beauty of diversity. Hao-Min admires the social constructionism epistemology and enjoys the process of conducting research, teaching, and clinical work using this perspective. Her current research uses ethnographic methods to explore the familial relationships between Chinese grandparents and parents in the United States.
