Education as Possibility: Coaching for Persistence
Education is the social justice issue of our time. The link between financial poverty and education poverty is strong and pervasive. This dissertation is a critique of the social practice of education at the global, national and local level. It identifies the many risks to basic education and the positive outcomes associated with higher education. Lastly, it proposes a coaching process focused on supporting college persistence for low-income, first-generation students in the United States.
