Marlene Ferreras is a Ph.D. candidate in practical theology at Claremont School of Theology. Her area of specialization is spiritually integrative psychotherapy. Marlene holds a MS in marital and family therapy from Loma Linda University and a MA in theology with an emphasis in biblical studies from Fuller Theological Seminary. Her clinical work includes caring for families in transitional housing, parolees re-entering society after serving life sentences, and at-risk youth. 

Since 2001 until 2014, Marlene served as a pastor in Southeastern California Conference in the capacity of youth pastor and children and family ministry pastor. She works as Assistant Professor of Practical Theology at the H.M.S. Richards Divinity School of La Sierra University in Riverside, California.

She lives in Redlands, California and recently adopted an American Pit Bull Terrier mix, which she is trained and certified to work alongside her through Therapy Dogs International.
