Christian Israel Lizama Valladares was born in Mérida, Yucatán, México on December 14,1980.

Christian is a Psychologist graduated from the University of Yucatan and Master in Psychotherapy by the Kanankil Institute where he also studied a ‘couples psychotherapy training’ and a ‘children narrative therapy training’.

His master thesis project is a dialogic inquiry about the stories of three women talking about infidelity in relationships.

Currently he works in the Yucatán’s Health Services, specifically in the mental health department where his clinical work has focused on child population diagnosed with ADHD and, in recent years, with population with suicide attempts as well as in accompanying surviving relatives of suicide.

He was a teacher in nurse school from the University of Yucatan, in the master program of health psychology from ‘Modelo University’ and in the Psychotherapy and Family and Couples Psychotherapy master program from Kanankil Institute.

He received certification in Collaborative and Dialogical Practices from the Houston Galveston Institute/Taos Institute as a teacher and supervisor.

Also, he is dedicated to private practice and, currently, coordinates the ‘Family and Couples Psychotherapy Diploma” in the Kanankil Institute.

Finally, he’s a dog/cat person and loves José Saramago books and the Harry Potter saga. He likes to workout and he’s writing a fantasy novel named ‘Numen’.
