Free Community Events

Join in one of the many free Taos Institute community events to connect with others, share resources, and leave enlivened and inspired by rich conversation.

All events are announced and hosted in the Taos Institute Commons online community. Join in – it’s free, quick and easy and will give you convenient access to all Taos Institute news, resources, events, recordings, and community members in one place.

The Taos Institute is a non-profit educational organization. We strive to keep our offerings free or at low cost to make them accessible to as many people as possible around the world. If you enjoy our events, please consider making a financial investment to support our mission of creating brighter futures, one conversation at a time.

Dialogue with the Author

These events offer an opportunity to be in conversation with authors, editors, or translators of new or significant books relevant to social constructionist, relational, and appreciative theory and practices. Click here to access prior Dialogue with the Author recordings.

Taos Conversations

Taos Conversations are intimate, informal, and interactive conversations on a variety of topics hosted by Taos Associates or friends of the Taos Institute. Explore past Taos Conversations in the Taos Institute Commons Event Replays library.

Community Meet & Greets

Whether you are new to the Taos Institute Commons online community or already a member, these informal, café-style gatherings have no agenda. They provide an open space to meet others in the Taos Institute community and to share stories of how you are applying (or hoping to apply) social constructionist, relational and appreciative approaches into your work and life. Stop by to say hello, even if you can’t stay for the whole time.

Irresistible Climate Conversations

News of natural disasters, dystopian scenarios, and warnings about the climate crisis are everywhere. Let’s come together to balance these messages with stories that foster hope, agency, community, and innovation. In these interactive events, participants are asked to share a link to a resource (book, article, podcast, video, etc) featuring an innovative climate solution, an example of community resilience, a thriving species or habitat, or any other reminder that positive change is already happening in response to climate change. Let’s co-create Irresistible Climate Conversations!

All event announcements, details, meeting links, and recordings (if applicable) are available on the Taos Institute Commons online community Events page. We hope to see you there!
