After graduating from Nihon Fukushi University, Akira studied outdoor education at Tokyo Gakugei University. After working for an adventure education and training company, a toy manufacturer, and a human resource consulting company, he began working independently.

He conducted more than 3,000 team building programs over the past 25 years for companies, organizations, educational and sports settings, and currently work as a resident facilitator for several corporations, supporting organizational development through business development, service development, and cross-functional projects with internal and external parties.

He was a policy researcher and policy advisor at the Reconstruction Agency from 2012 to 2016, where he facilitated a total of more than 70 workshops for companies in the Tohoku area affected by the Great East Japan Earthquake, for which he received an award from the Prime Minister.

He currently serves as the representative director of Nagao Learning Labo Corporation, the representative director of the General Incorporated Association War Disaster Reconstruction Assistance Center, and the director of Morai Gakuen Educational Corporation.

He wrote and published the books: “The Perfect Leader is No Longer Needed.” and “The Story of Teams That Work with the People You Have”.

He is a good husband and father of two daughters, a senior in high school and a junior in junior high school, and lives in Setagaya Ward, Tokyo, where he spends his time fulfilled as an advisor to nine companies and a director of three companies.
