Carlos is a licensed Psychologist from the Universidad de Chile and also
received a Master of Sciences degree from California State University
at Los Angeles, major in Organizational and Industrial Psychology. He
began his clinical practice as a psychologist, back in 1979 and
continued since then, focusing on executive coaching, while developing a
career as an HR and OD consultant.
He founded and nowadays leads Gestar, an Organizational and Human Development consulting firm located in Santiago, Chile. (www.gestar.cl)
He is a certified trainer and coach by The Ken Blanchard Companies and
is a Consultant Partner with the Corporation for Positive Change (http://www.positivechange.org/appreciative-inquiry-consultants.html). He also holds a certificate in Appreciative Leadership Development Program.
His professional background includes academic experience as college
professor at graduate level. He’s taught at Pontificia Universidad
Catolica de Chile, Universidad de Chile, Universidad de Santiago de
Chile, Universidad Adolfo Ibañez and Universidad Arturo Prat. He
specializes in organizational and human development subjects, with an
appreciative and constructive approach.
As a consultant Carlos has been in charge of many change management and
development processes and projects in different industries and
companies, both locally and internationally. He has delivered training
and coaching in Peru, Argentina, Venezuela, Honduras, Costa Rica, and
the Dominican Republic, as well as coached foreign executives working
for international companies in Chile. When clients partner with Carlos
they benefit from his bilingual coaching ability in both Spanish and
English.
Carlos has been affiliated to the American Society for Training and
Development and was founder member of the local Organizational
Development Specialists Association.
