Michael Pontello began her training and professional experience with the Houston Galveston Institute (HGI) Counseling as an intern. Through the years she has had the privilege of being invited into a variety of communities through the numerous programs HGI has to offer. The bulk of her therapeutic experiences have involved work in public schools. With ever evolving training in Collaborative-Dialogic Practices, Michael enjoys being able to share her experiences through training as a member of HGI’s faculty and supervision with new learners while continuing to grow as a collaborative therapist. Currently she is the Director of School Programs for HGI and assists an ever-growing team of therapists as they begin their work collaboratively in school settings. She also continues to practice therapy both in the school setting and at HGI’s office. Writing is also a passion of hers. Together with Harlene Anderson and Tushanna Price, they have contributed towards a blog called BehindtheCurtainsCDP.org which seeks to promote various voices and the process of Collaborative-Dialogic Practices.
