Dr. Yao is an associate professor of Educational Economics and Administration at College of Education Science, Nanjing Normal University. He has published more than 30 articles and 1 academic book on educational policy, educational equity and school effectiveness. In recent years, he mainly focuses on the education reform in the background of the transformation of society and economics in China. Especially, he developed a strong interest in how to construct the high quality school by using the way of appreciative inquiry. Working with his team, he is devoting himself to promoting the process of improving the effectiveness and quality of schools under the guidance of social construction. His exploration of theory and practice has attracted more and more principals and teachers work with him, which is creating the more beautiful future by providing better education.
