Rev. Elaine Beth Peresluha, a Unitarian Universalist interim minister, enjoys bringing together thirty years of professional experience in nursing, teaching, counseling, ministry, and writing to work with individuals and institutions in transition. She serves Unitarian Universalist congregations as an interim minister and consults with other organizations to generate safe and supportive opportunities for discovery. As a nurse, educator, parent, partner, and minister, Elaine has held her attention and intention on relationships.

Unitarian Universalist congregations are each unique, each an alchemy of history and faith, the past lives and future hopes of all people who pass through a church’s doors. A congregation is an accumulation of stories and commitments that breath life into faith, and faith into lives. As a minister, Elaine is given the awesome privilege of participating intimately in that alchemy. She participates in the transformations that occur between people touching each other’s lives, creating healthy, spiritual community.

Elaine looks forward to building upon the beginnings initiated with the Taos PhD program, being part of dialogues that generate discovery in interfaith settings. She would like be part of deepening interfaith relationships, appreciating the diverse ways people live faithful lives. She believes that bringing those faiths into conversations can inspire collaborative initiatives and encourage creative social change.
