Joanne lives in London in the United Kingdom of Great Britain where she is currently Principal Systemic and Family Psychotherapist, currently employed by East London NHS Foundation Trust, based in Hackney, East London. She is Operational Lead/ Service Manager for an adult psychotherapy service. She has been undertaking the Professional Doctorate in Systemic Practice (PDSP) on decolonizing systemic practice. She is also a Systemic and Family Psychotherapist, UKCP and AFT registered and an Approved Supervisor AFT registered and UKCP listed. She has done a P.G. Certificate in Therapeutic Practice with Sex Offenders. Recently, she has immersed herself in the following roles: Association of Family Therapy, Context Publishing Group Chairwoman; College of Family, Couple and Systemic Psychotherapy (CFCSP) Council Member and Vice Chairwoman for the UKCP Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Committee (BIIDE). She has also been enjoying running workshops and co-editing the Systemic Flux “Decolonising Systemic Practice” community writing project hosted by Everything is Connected Press. She thinks with a business and strategic mind, someone who doesn’t understand there is a box to think outside of, because a box does not exist. Joanne loves to teach, write and develop systemic thinking and praxis, as well as cooking and traveling, reading and writing, spending time at the theater, going to interesting talks and gardening.
