Dina works as a public health coordinator in Levanger municipality and is an associate professor at Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, Norwegian University of Science and Technology. She is currently a PhD candidate in sociology at Nord University (public sector PhD). Her PhD project is a participatory and collaborative action research project from a social constructionist perspective, seeking to transform kindergartens into meeting places in the local community, enhancing family social inclusion and deepen democratic participation. Dina is deputy head of the research group “Relational Welfare” at NTNU. Dina’s research interests are focused on public health and health promotion, with a particular focus on social justice, social inclusion and democratic innovations, linked to sustainable societal development and human rights. Especially, she is interested in future-forming research and practices, co-creation of public value, asset-based approaches to address the complexities inherit to public health, and how the settings of everyday life, meeting places in the community, and inclusive citizenship can influence the development of health and well-being.
