Diego works at the new Department of Applied Psychology in Padua. He teaches Qualitative Methods in Psychosocial Research and Community Psychology in the University of Padua and Rovigo. His main research interests are in Social and Clinical Psychology, focusing on theories of change, motivated irrationalities, qualitative methodologies and relational processes in the construction of the self and human organizations. His major concerns are also about the development of new social theories and their application to clinical practice and human organization. Romaioli is an associate researcher of the Institute of Psychology and Psychotherapy of Padua, where the first Italian School inspired to the guiding principles of Symbolic Interactionism is founded. He works as a psychotherapist and consultant in juridical psychology in Brescia, Milan and Padua, using a methodology that links narrative and brief focus orientation to the social constructionist perspective.
