José W. Otte was a researcher, lecturer and consultant, and the founder of MIZU (2001), an organization specializing in the application of social constructionism through forms like appreciative inquiry and other strength based methods. She was also a student of Aikido, one of the Japanese martial arts for over 20 years. Jose worked as a Professor of Relational Research & Organization Transformation at the NOVI University of Applied Sciences.

José (1962-2024) received her MBA from Kingston University in London, United Kingdom and prior to that worked in the field of Human Resource Management. She received her Ph.D. from the University of Tilburg, studying with Prof. Dr. John Rijsman in the field of organizational behavior sciences. The title of her research is: A.I. KI do.

José combined working as a researcher, lecturer and consultant; always working from a social constructionist view, using appreciative inquiry and Aikido to study the fields of research, management of change, leadership and organization development. She passed away in October 2024.
