Lone Hersted (M.A.) works as an Associate Professor at the Department of Culture and Learning at Aalborg University (Denmark). Her teaching and research are concerned with leadership, organizational development and learning, action research, coaching, co-creation, innovative and creative change processes, dialogic process, roleplaying and collaborative development in groups and teams.

At Aalborg University, Lone is the head of the research group POLO (Processes and Learning in Organizations), member of the study board for master’s programs and responsible coordinator of the M.A. program entitled Master in Process Leadership and Organizational Change (PROF). Lone has also worked as a consultant since 2003 and, in addition to her academic work, she contributes to organizational development and learning processes through coaching, supervision, action research, workshops etc.

Originally, Lone was educated as an actress at the Nordic Theatre School (1993) and obtained a master’s degree in Dramaturgy at Aarhus University (DK 2002). She has more than 10 years’ professional work experience in performance theatre production and interactive digital arts. She has also been directing international theatre projects in Latin America.

Furthermore, Lone is trained and certified as a systemic coach at Attractor (DK) and has obtained a Certificate Degree in Systemic Leadership and Organizational Development at the University of Bedfordshire in collaboration with KCC (GB) and MacMann Berg (DK).
In addition, Lone has worked as a family therapist at the Municipality of Aarhus (DK). Here she worked with traumatized refugee families and their integration into the Danish society.

Since 2011, she has contributed to a series of academic books and research papers. In 2013 she wrote the book Relational Leading: Practices for dialogically based collaboration together with Professor Kenneth Gergen and recently she contributed to The SAGE Handbook of Social Constructionist Practice.
