Rosana Rapizo is a psychologist, Master in Clinical Psychology at the
Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro and Ph.D in Social Psychology at
the Estate University of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Her master dissertation
was published as a book: Systems Family Therapy: from instruction to
construction, in 1996.
She is a family and couples therapy since 1984 and developed a group
work with mothers, fathers and children that went through the divorce in
their families, since 1997. She published some articles about this work
and in her doctoral thesis she developed a sistematization of a
methodology to work with this kind of groups.
As a teacher, Rosana participated of the Foundation of Rio de Janeiro
Family Therapy in 1987 and was a teacher, supervisor and researcher on
Family therapy Training Program till 2005. Currently she is a teacher on
the training program in Family Therapy at the Instituto Noos, a NGO, in
Rio de Janeiro that works with families and groups. She coordinated
training groups on family violence, and groups of women in violence
situation inside the family. Since 2011, she is a member of
International Certificate on Collaborative Practices at INTERFACI, São
Paulo, Brazil. She is also the coordinator of the course Theory and
Practice of Working with Groups, at Instituto Noos, since 2012.
In 2015 she began to teach at the Psychological Institute at the Estate University of Rio de Janeiro.
