Hong Luo is a President of The WuYun Mountain Sanatorium of Hangzhou. He specializes in theories and practices of solution-focused brief therapy (SFBT), and training of teachers, medical workers, enterprise staffs ect, from the Social constructivism perspective.

He is serves as the Vice chairman of Zhejiang Mental Health Promotion Association, a Councilor of Zhejiang Medical association branch of psychosomatic medicine. He is also a visiting scholar in the Mental Health Evaluation & Community Counseling Unit at University of British Columbia in 2003.

At the early stage of his education as a undergraduate student, he studied Clinical medical. And then became a residency training of psychiatry in The Seventh Hospital of Hang Zhou in 1994. In the next 10 years, he had been engaged in psychiatry. During this period, he received a Master of Psychology in Zhejiang University, and gained his Doctor of Philosophy (Psychology) in 2006. Since then, he has been put more energy on Psychiatric treatment and psychological counseling, especially on the Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Appreciative Inquiry, Collaborative Practice for almost ten years.

Dr. Luo has published more than 40 articles and 5 academic books on the solution-focused brief therapy, solution-focused coaching, mental health, Successful aging, professional burnout, Stress coping styles, and group counseling. He has been insisted on sharing his insights about solution-focused approach every day for many years. Under the guidance of social constructivism, he has combined solution-focused approach with Appreciative Inquiry, Collaborative Practice together. The exploration of these theoretical and practical construction adds a lot of joy in his life. At the same time, an increasing number of people are benefit from his social constructivism practice.
